In a previous post we took a deep dive into how good ChatGPT was at writing production grade software. We concluded that while a massive time saver for some aspects, we still need the keen eye of a software engineer to steer any AI helpers at this present moment.

At Logicful, we don't use AI to write (most) of our code. However, we do use it to help automate our SEO (search engine optimisation) specific content and social media posts. Some of the blog posts on this very site have been written, or part written, by an AI. We have massively cut both our costs and time required to produce SEO keyword specific content and complementary social media posts. So, we decided to package up our process into a streamlined SAAS product. Meet our helpful 8 armed AI: 8arms.ai.

8arms.ai - your SEO content copywriter

For anyone unaware, to increase the amount of organic traffic your website receives from search engines requires ongoing effort to convince Google, Bing and whomever else you care about (sorry Yahoo) that your website is relevant to a set of search terms, or keywords. One of the best ways to do this is to put out regular content updates that target specific keywords on your website. It is why every start up under the sun has a blog attached to their website - much like this one!

Producing this content can be costly - both financially and in terms of time. Time that could be better spent in other areas of your business. Since ChatGPT is so in vogue, we created 8arms to hand off this content generation to an AI.

The premise is simple: provide 8arms with a title, a set of keywords you want to optimise for, a density for these keywords (how frequently you want them to appear in the produced content) and a list of subheadings to give the AI some direction. Thirty seconds later you have an AI drafted piece of SEO optimised content. Give it some tweaks, a personal touch or two and you have reduced a potentially 1 hour long process of copy creation into just 5 minutes.

Complementary social posts

So, we've streamlined our content generation process. However for our needs the job wasn't quite done. Once the blog or static page is created you want to be able to tell the world about it. That's why once you are happy with the copy you have created collaboratively with the AI, we also ask it to perform one final task: break down this information into a set of social media posts.

As software engineers, our creative juices sometimes need a bit of nudging before getting into full flow and we have found this to be a massive time saver. A lot of the social posts you have seen across our channels have been written with the help of an AI.

When you're finished, 8arms let's you quickly copy your new creation and corresponding social posts for us in whichever platform you choose:

Blog Posts, static SEO content and beyond!

We have initially launched 8arms as primarily a blog or static content copywriting assistant. It's a huge help for our day to day business needs - and we genuinely do use it every single day! It's perfect to get the scaffold of a blog post ready.

We have lots more in the pipeline including sentence rewriting, shorter form content creation and further integrations with social media and blogging/CMS platforms. If there's something that you desperately want to see added to 8arms then please reach out to us and let us know!
